Child Find Policy

In accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, applicable federal regulations, and South Carolina requirements governing the education of students with disabilities, including South Carolina State Board of Education Regulation 43-243, it is the Schools' policy to support the identification, location, and evaluation of children who may have disabilities and may be in need of special education and related services. The Schools are committed to ensuring that eligible children receive a free appropriate public education (FAPE) as required by applicable law.
